GMTK post mortem

So.
It's closer to a *toy*, rather than a game, it has no objective or scoring system, just a little film set-shaped sandbox full of tiny little toy shovels. No bucket, though.
It allows you to navigate through several short 3D clips, and make a film as cool, dramatic and exciting as you can.
You can then review what you've captured.

The theme was "roles reversal", and my first idea was to make a game where you play as the enemy, then "what if you was the *camera*?". My ma always bets on the horse number two, and so do I.
Don't do gambling, folks.
Anyway.
At first I went for the obvious: there's a bunch of "levels" where the player must position the camera correctly on a tight timing or something, but then, when I was making the level editor (make tools, folks, it really really helps), it struck me: messing around with the editor was more fun than actually playing what basically amounts to a first-person shooter where your target is hard to see and your weapon does pitiful damage.
So I scrapped the game and focused on the editor, added buttons in-game instead of a separate window, and....
Turns out GameObjectRecorder is editor-only API.
So I had to rewrite it. From scratch.
Thankfully it's not particularly difficult, but it still was an *experience*
